This is a strong 1C system.

The main features of the system are:

  • 1C is bid on hands of 17+ points, or 14+ hands that are strongly distributional;
  • 1DC" is the negative response showing 0-6 points. 2C is a semi-positive response showing 7-8 points, including at least one ace or king, and promises a rebid. Any other response is forcing to game; Other 1 bids are limited, and responder normally passes with less than 8 points;
  • Strong NT; 2C is natural and shows at least a five card suit. 2D asks for a 4 card major;
  • 2D opening asks about honours. 2H denies an ace, other minimum responses are ace-showing, except 2NT, which show the AH With 2 aces, responder jumps in the higher ranking suit with touching suits, 3NT with non-touching aces, or 4C with the black aces. Opener can respond in the cheapest suit to ask for kings. A 2NT rebid over 2H shows 23-25 points, and 3NT shows 26-27;
  • 2H and 2S are Weak Two Bids;
  • 2NT shows at least 5-5 in the minors;
  • Gambling 3NT;
  • 3C shows a solid 6 or seven card suit with 10-15 points.
