  Alchemy
Substance Production
Before this can be attempted the formulae must be acquired or invented. Any ingredients or materials must also be procured. Potions, Elixirs, Oils and Dusts are usually made in batches. The size of the batch, the rating of the lab, the difficulty of the potion as well as the competence of the Alchemist are all factors in determining whether the result is a success or not.

Batch Size
Size Description Quantity Produced
1 Trial 1
2 Test 1-4
3 Small 2-8
4 Medium 3-18
5 Large 5-30
6 Commercial 5-50

The following formula is used, together with the following table to determine the result.

(Alchemist's Specialism Level x Lab's Rating) -
Difficulty of Substance - Batch Size
+ (Mages Int over 14) + d20
