The Lost Islands of the South

In which we get an important book out of Tesphesus, and do a spot of sailing in the south (all a bit wild down there..

437 Lentiss 4: Erkon, Meer and Wally sail for Tesphesus.
6: Erkon, wearing the cloak of the manta ray, swims invisibly down the river Tes and divines the direction of the red book. He then emerges from the water under a bridge and flies over the wall of the citadel. He tracks the book down to the old temple of Thoth in the citadel of Tesphesus.
8: All return to Ole where the planning for the library raid begins.
11: Using two wishes and a host of other preparatory defensive spells a smallish group teleport into the library and steal several books including the Red one.

Back on Ole, courtesy of the second wish-teleport they analyse the book revealing it to be the third research book of Gith.

14: Sail for Daletemoon with Captain Blyne aboard The Rose
16: Arrive at Daletemoon, meet with Lord Mayor Teeban. He throws a reception in their honour where they meet Harris. They had been intent on exploring the empty quarter of Helph, but it seems he has already charted it. They set off with him to seek out the lost islands of the south.
17: Sail southwards
19: Noon: Land ahoy ! They spot a small atoll. Gif, Erkon, Quindor and Starling land to talk to the natives. Erkon soon realises that it is customary for natives here to eat visitors. They are attacked by a large red frog like creature whom it transpires the natives worship.

Having killed the local "gods" the natives become more friendly.

20: Talk with the islanders and discover that this is the isle of Tyne. Sail east with Big Clam (one of the natives) to a neighbouring island.
23: Land Ahoy ! This time its a big mountain sticking straight up out of the sea. This is the island of Iowa, and they soon discover that magic is wild here. Akraan lands with the deck and starts to play.

Akraan attempts, and succeeds, to draw the card "little fluffy clouds"

In the blink of an eye Akraan disappears, in his place is a green lawn above which floats a small cloud; which dissipates in the breeze.

Bemused by the behaviour of the ever-growing lawn the party sail north for Ole.

Bytine 1: Arrive at Ole. Ra Nexus to New Figon. Visit Guild of Wild Magic. Make a deal with Barnabus for a reincarnation. Back to Ole and sail south again.
9: Arrive at Iowa. Every animal on the island is grazing on the magic lawn. Barnabus tries out his reincarnation on the grass. All he gets is a host of butterflies.
10: Barnabus tries a second reincarnation. He manages to reincarnate a hobbit farmer by the name of bobby, erm twice. That is there are two identical hobbits by the name of bobby. Finally try a dispel magic - no effect.
12: Leave for Ole
20: Arrive at Ole. Take the Ra Nexus to New Figon. Take the Nexus to Borizna. Visit the Guild for the Progress of the Individual and the Movers of Change, since they are told that this is the chaos guild, where they hire a mage to do a polymorph on the lawn.
24: Arrive back at Iowa, by now the lawn is dead !

In despair someone wishes that Akraan was back in his original body standing right in front of them. All that happens is that the deck of many things lands at their feet.

Ethot 2: Back on Ole lots of Deck playing ensues.

Adam draws many cards under a conformance quest spell, his mission being to rescue Akraan, until he manages to draw the Akraan card.

Akraan is delighted, he is again an Elf. He feels duty bound to rescue Adam. With the aid of a Pig he tries to con the deck. There are however several forces at work and what emerges are Adam and a pig. The pig however is not just a pig, for it contains the soul of Akraan, Akraan’s body is back in the deck along with the soul of a pig.

3: Akraan is polymorphed into a human.
4: Akraan makes a wish and ends up as a helm
11: Sail South
17: Arrive at Tyne and sail south
Gryvine 2: Arrive at Hemos, one of a pair of atol isles. During scouting Erkon spots a small building on each island, whilst he is away the ship is attacked by six fire mephits. They meet Eldrille High Priestess of Lintuok who tells them to fly, lest they be a ship of fools or the true liberator. She then exxpalins that the other isle is held by the dark arm and that whilst they are safe here, they will be attacked once they leave. She also warns them of the Virag.

The ship, whilst slightly damaged, leaves at once - again south.

Are these the two posts ?

3: Attacked by the Virag, that is: eight marine trolls. The ship is now repaired as they sail around another island: Mychos
4: Land on the isle where they meet some aboriginal natives. The natives tell them of the great Wazmo who lives at the top of the mountain. Rodick leads the way as they climb all day. He, and others of Erkon’s group, can communicate with the natives because they speak a dialect similiar to the tribal tongue of central Helph. Rodick leads the party into a cave, whilst the natives wait warning all to take care. Inside are many fine and multicoloured cloths hanging from the walls. When they are some way inside they come face to face with a Lich. Although he says "Fear Me Not" several of the group, again led by Rodick, run away.

After conversing it transpires that the great Wazmo is non other than Wesmon the Rainbow Prince, turned now into a Lich to guard these seas and hold the Ilithin at bay. They discuss many things, and he gives them gifts great and small. These include the Zymbo Zarak as well as armour of many kinds. He offers also to lend them either his sword, his armour or his protective circlet. They choose the circlet.

At their parting he casts a great spell of translation and they wake in the morning back aboard the ship, which lies now in some distant fjord.

5: Sail NxW whilst many Identifies are cast.
7: One of Akraan’s spells goes a little wrong and a great hole appears in the deck of the ship. Thankfully it does not cause the ship to founder and hasty repairs are made.
11: A large demon appears on the ship and a great fight ensues. Quarterweight is killed.
12-3: Sight land, disembark at Bel Moros and go into the desert to play with the Zymbo Zarak. Akraan, Gif and Erkon end up on the Astral Plane as they discover that this small ornament can grow into a small iron fortress which can sail the Astral Way.
14: By means of this Zarak they travel to Ole in less than an hour.

There follows a period of rest and training, except that is for Erkon who plays with the Phoenix Deck. He loses most of his reason and with the aid of the Spirit Warrior Vordrill converts to Horus.

28: Take the Zarak to the 6th hill in the desert, on the cape of doom, just south of the forbidden city. They then trek north, seeking its gate, where Wesmon informed them they should find a Great Throne. As has become usual in these parts they are attacked by what appears to be supernatural wildlife. Seemingly at the hands of small rabbits and birds, who cast fireballs and drop giant rocks, they retreat into the Zarak and escape to the Astral. Here is no escape for they are lured into a battle by shapechangers. Starling Oakleaf dies. They retire to Shi.

There is another period of resting and training
