Shades of Gray
  Resu Cigmareth
II hired a crack team of character assassins, gave them Gif’s dossier, and this is what they came up with:

Gif, or Ciggy as we prefer to call him, is the self styled Lord Resu Cigamref of the open seas. He is very strong, lively and quick with his swords: so you will understand why this is an anonymous review.

Gif is human, but to look at him you would be forgiven for thinking otherwise. This is because has possesses a strange, almost, elven demeanour; oh and his complexion is literally that of cold stone.

He has several companions: Willos and Trevok, a pair of old sea dogs, and a couple of wild kids Adam and Aeron. One of these last two is quite mad, whilst the other is only slightly so: hence the two are often confused. Oh incidentally Willos, we believe, has three legs.

The first time Gif died was when the party stormed the tower of Magfred, a staunch opponent of evil whom John didn’t like.

The next time was at the hands of some ghouls, well this could have happened to anyone. The third time was shortly afterwards - but this was the clerics fault.

His fourth death came during an ill fated attack on a powerful Dragon - The story is that this was Everard’s fault for losing his staff.

The fifth time came when they where sailing and some seagulls blasted them - we find this account particularly hard to swallow. But then a few days later it happened again.

His next exploit was the time he almost starved to death. Apparently he was effected by a powerful illusion and everyone believed he has been turned into stone. He had to watch whilst his comrades fought many ogres and then manhandled him home across the desert. This explains one aspect of his strange appearance.

The seventh time he died was when he was attacked by giant scorpions in another desert. Stay away from deserts we say - they are obviously very dangerous.

Dragons, they’re dangerous too! On an expedition Gif organised to Voire he managed to get himself, and many of his companions, drenched in acid: very nasty, very fatal.

Gif’s ninth, and most recent, mishap was when he, single handed, fought his way into an island fortress. What can we say!
