It is after the False Golden
Age. But what is it all about? Well we're still figuring
that one out. But basically, yes you've guessed it, there
is this group of bad guys that is trying to take over the
world. The bad guys are called the Dark Arm. We don't
know who controls them but they are very much entangled
with the worshippers of Set. The Dark Arm has taken over
several cities: Voir, Chiko, Lozo, and Tesphesus. At
least one other place is controlled by the worshippers of
Set: Suos. All we have to do is retake the cities and
destroy the Dark Arm...possibly. John is very adamant
about doing this. He originally came from Tesphesus: one
of the few that escaped the city when it was taken over
several years ago. Mind you, John a ravening psychopath
when it comes to revenge. One problem we have is that we have a prophecy, told to us by a sage of the Tarishe (a desert people) called Belektum. This Belektum is treated something like a god by the Tarishe. The major dilemma that the prophecy causes is that it says the three cities must be taken "countercharged". The debate at the moment is what does this mean: in the same order as they were taken; in the reverse order; or is the order unimportant. The prophecy Belektum told us has six verses, we have discovered mention of a seventh verse. We would dearly like to either hear this verse or prove that it doesn't exist. Well that's what we've got to do. At some later time I intend to flesh out the journal for the campaign. We all keep notes on what's happening. But it's all done with pencil and paper and beer stains. Other information about this world, specifically the Borizonian Empire and the Nexus Corporation, can be found at the Shadow Dragon site under the Mages of Cornford in the Khan Alliance section. |
